In 2010, ILLDefined Artistry was born as a music blog catered towards showcasing a unique taste of hip-hop, RnB, and EDM/Dance music. The blog featured local talent, future stars of the industry, and the next great hits. Over the course of that first year, concert photography became a growing source of content to the point of becoming the photographer that was seen at every show in Toronto. By 2012, I had been accepted into photography program at The Remix Project, an internationally acclaimed creative incubator that has helped develop the talents of Drake, Wondagurl and Jessie Reyez to name a few. It was at Remix where I honed my talents in portrait and event photography, with a focus on the music and entertainment industry.
Since graduating from Remix, ILLDefined Artistry has become the in-house photographer for Chris Smith Management and Kuya Productions, as well as a key content producer for 1LoveTO. I’ve gone back to Remix on many occasions photograph events and connect with new participants in the program as a way of giving back to the program. My work has been featured both on the national and international stage, included work with TD Bank, Union Station, various exhibits, and at the Junos. During the 2018 CONTACT Photography Festival, the judges choice top prize at the 2018 Sound Image Exhibit and Competition was awarded my image of Drake, DVSN, Majid Jordan and Roy Wood$ performing at the Canada 150 celebrations.
ILLDefined Artistry is positioned to recognize and develop purposeful imagery for brands and personalities that will lead our future.
